The equipment for pressing and compacting a ground body (2) influences surface level (3) and improves the properties of the body by injection of a liquid and hardenable material with a volumetric mass smaller than that of the body. The material consists of a mixture of water, cement, bentonite and a filler, comprising polystyrene particles and/or granules of expanded baked clay. The auxiliary material contains 50 per cent by volume of cement, bentonite and water and 50 per cent by volume of filler. On hardening of the cement-bentonite fraction, the material has a maximum single-axial pressure strength of 400 kN/m2 or 650 kN/m2. The volumetric mass of the material can amount to 600-800 kg/m3 or 900-1100 kg/m3.
