PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a printing fluid for adhesion promotion for an overcoat for protecting and stabilizing a digitally printed image against undesirable transfer of an ink therefrom to other surfaces. SOLUTION: In order to promote adhesion of the surface of a hydrophilic material covering a medium to a transparent thermal transfer overcoat covering the same, an acrylic copolymer is added to a composition for an overcoat.
