PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling device capable of wiring the harness of an electromagnet with ease by attaining the miniaturization of the seal part between the coupling device and a differential carrier and making the differential carrier compact and light weight as well as reducing the dimension of the coupling device in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The coupling device 20 installed in front of the rear differential gear 8 controls the driving force transmitted to the rear differential gear 8 variably by an electromagnet 30. The electromagnet 30 and a yoke 31 are retained to be rotated by the differential carrier 11 through a bracket 37. An O-ring 41 is disposed between the external circumferential surface of the yoke 31 and the internal circumferential surface of the differential carrier 11 to prevent oil flowing out of the differential carrier 11. A harness 34 which applies the current to the electromagnet 30 is led out of the external circumferential part of the yoke where the O-ring 41 is disposed to the side of the differential carrier 11.
