<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave-safe paper cup with thermal insulating properties at the bottom portion which prevents the burning of the bottom edge portion when heating drink or instant foods in the paper cup in a microwave oven, and keeps the contents warm even after being heated. SOLUTION: This paper cup includes a body member having a cylindrical body portion, a top curl portion formed by curving the top edge portion of the body portion, and a folded portion formed by folding back the lower end portion of the body portion inward, and a bottom member having a bottom surface portion and a bended portion formed by bending the outer peripheral portion of the bottom surface portion. The bottom surface portion of the paper cup formed by bolding the bended portion between the body portion and the folded portion and bonding them mutually is formed downwardly concavely, and the outside surface of the bottom surface portion is applied with a thermal insulating member. The thermal insulating member is composed of corrugated fiberboard or embossed paper.</p> |
