PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crown retainer for a ball bearing capable of hardly dislocating the retainer when assembling a bearing and also improving assembling capability of balls. SOLUTION: Elastic projections 8 and 9 that are relatively opposing each other are arranged in an opening portion 7 of a pocket 5. The projections 8 and 9 performs a role to lead the retainer so that the retainer 4 is inserted into the bearing while balls 3 and the projections 8 and 9 touch each other. Consequently, as the projections 8 and 9 have a role to lead the retainer when inserting the retainer into the bearing, offset of the retainer in a radial direction can be prevented while assembling the bearing.
