PURPOSE: A noise preventing structure for a tail gate latch of a vehicle is provided to prevent the generation of metallic noise when closing the tail gate without attaching any sound absorption element to an inside of a panel of the tail gate. CONSTITUTION: A noise preventing structure for a tail gate latch of a vehicle includes a shock absorbing pad(7) mounted to a wall surface of a pawl(3) of a housing(1), the housing being mounted via rivets(4,4') with a latch plate(2) which restrains a striker(S) and the pawl rotatably for restraining the latch plate, wherein when the supporting for the latch plate is released and the pawl rotates by the restoring force of a spring(8') by the closing of the tail gate, the pawl is not colliding with a wall surface of the housing but colliding with the shock absorbing pad.
