PURPOSE: A piston pin of hermetic type compressor and manufacturing method of the same are provided to simply manufacture the piston pin connecting a piston and a connecting rod. CONSTITUTION: A piston pin(30) includes a pin body(31) connecting a piston and a connecting rod to be interlocked with each other; and a coupling groove(32) formed on one side of the pin body to mount a coupling pin for coupling with the piston thereon. A method includes a cutting process cutting a material by fixed length; a forging process forming the coupling groove on one side of an outer surface of the material cut in the cutting process and improving stiffness of the material; a heat treatment process treating forged material by heat; and a finishing process treating the heat-treated material in a barrel and polishing.
