PURPOSE: A voice resources replacement method for VMS(Voice Mailing System) is provided to double a common memory in VMS, so that the user does not make the operation of VMS interrupt when replacing the voice resources, thereby enhancing the reliability of the users to the service. CONSTITUTION: A call processing process approaches to a common memory segment produced by a manager and then outputs a guide voice necessary to a service to a designated time slot(S11). During the service, when it is necessary to change the guide voice(voice resources)(S12), the manager copies or stores the newly prepared voice file to a file system(S13) and informs the change of the voice file to the manager(S14). Thereafter, the manager produces a new common memory segment(S15), reads the voice file from the file system and then stores the file to the new common memory segment(S16). The call processing process uses the voice resources stored to the new segment(S17). The call processing process can approach two common memory segments.
