PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which enhances the fashionability of portable information apparatus and prohibits easy peeling of coatings in spite of rubbing with objects. SOLUTION: The method of coating the portable information apparatus comprises process steps of precoating a casing of the portable information apparatus made of a magnesium alloy or resin with a black coating material and further coating the surface of the black coating material with a liquid mixture composed of morpho-fibers of 0.15 to 0.6 mm in fiber length and 100 to 200μm diameter in fiber fineness having light controllability and a clear lacquer.
