PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial disinfectant which is used for external use, can prevent the microorganism contamination of a medical fluid with resistant bacteria and can further prevent evils due to alcohol. SOLUTION: A lower alcohol such as ethanol or isopropanol is added to and used together with a low level disinfectant such as benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, chlorhexidine gluconate, or a dialkyldiaminoethylglycine chloride in a low concentration of 3 to 15%. The antibacterial disinfectant exhibits a remarkable antibacterial action, can prevent the microorganism contamination of a medical fluid with resistant bacteria, and can prevent evils such as skin irritation due to the alcohol, economical efficiency, respiratory organ irritation by the evaporation of the alcohol and the risk of ignition.
