PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink supplying mechanism for a printing unit which does not bring about a decrease in a printing quality due to irregular printing density without necessity of a skilled technique and a time in an operation by a simple mechanism at a low cost, and eliminates equipment or the like of a conversion of data by a printing element ratio measuring means of a print image or a measuring means into a regulated value of an ink fountain or an ink pump, a transmission and control of the value to an ink key of each fountain or an ink pump. SOLUTION: The printing unit for the printer comprises a regulating roller group having a hydrophilic roller for coupling a press plate to an upstream side roller of an ink supply unit. Thus, a moistening water supplied from a moistening water unit to the press plate is first contacted with the roller group. The waters corresponding to much moistening water and little moistening water on the plate are transmitted to the upstream side roller. Hence, a transfer amount of the ink to the roller is changed to control the supply amount of the ink to the plate. |
