PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezer oil composition which has high lubricity and high thermal and chemical stability and sufficiently controls the wear of an aluminum-based member, when used in a freezer equipped with the aluminum- based member. SOLUTION: This freezer oil composition comprises a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil as a base oil and 0.01 to 5 wt.% of a compound of the general formula (1) to (3). R1-CO-NR2-(CH2)1-COOX (1), [R3-CO-NR4-(CH2)m-COO]m'Y (2), [R5-CO-NR6-(CH2)n-COO]n'-Z-(OH)n" (3) [R1, R3 and R5 are each a 6 to 30C alkyl or the like; R2, R4 and R6 are each a 1 to 4C alkyl or the like; X is a 1 to 30C alkyl or the like; Y is an alkali metal or the like; Z is a polyhydric alcohol residue; (l), (m) and (n) are each 1 to 4; (m') is 1 or 2; (n') is >=1; (n") is an integer of >=0; (n')+(n") is the valency of Z group].
