PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a reinforcing textile fabric and an equipment therefor enabling the tension variance in weft feed to be made to a minimum even if the revolutions of a loom is raised, therefore enabling the weft not to be twisted, thus compatible with high-speed operation. SOLUTION: This method for producing the reinforcing textile fabric involves the following step: the weft are horizontally unreeled from weft bobbins while drawing them at a given rate from the bobbins wound with reinforcing filament yarns and the amount of the weft necessary for a single weft insertion is fed while reserving it flexedly in a U-shaped fashion inside a reserve pipe by means of air suction. The other equipment for producing such a reinforcing textile fabric is mounted with a weft feed means comprising a take-up mechanism with nip rolls functioning to draw out wefts at a given rate while horizontally unreeling them from weft bobbins wound with flat yarns consisting of reinforcing filament yarns or reinforcing fibers, a mechanism for continually applying tension to a weft thus drawn out, and an air suction reserving mechanism for reserving the weft inside the reserve pipe by means of the air suction.
