PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control rapidly the adjustment of the discharge quantity of a coating material and the change of the gradation of density in spite of decreasing the size of each spray nozzle as small as possible in the case of coating with many spray nozzles arrayed. SOLUTION: This coloring method with many nozzles in a coating apparatus for an external wall material is performed to apply color pattern by controlling the spraying time of the spray nozzles 1,...1 each having a circular or elliptic spray pattern 1a to draw the dot like spray pattern having a tint color with a short spray time and a dark color with a long spray time corresponding to the density of the coating, where the color adjustment of each spray nozzle in the arrayed many nozzles is performed by the control of a stroke S of a needle 6 of each spray nozzle and the change of drawing data, the color adjustment of the whole spray nozzles 1 is performed by the increase and the decrease of the supply pressure of the coating material to be supplied to the whole spray nozzles 1 and the opening and closing operation of the needle according to the program, and the partial change of the color drawn by the method is controlled through a conversion table capable of changing the ratio of the output to the input of the operation voltage of the needle.
