PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to mount easily an extension pipe having an intake portion at dust collecting barrel of the vacuum cleaner by installing a locking protrusion at the dust collecting barrel. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner comprises a vacuum cleaner body(10), a dust collecting barrel(20), and an extension pipe(30) having a structure capable of attaching at the dust collecting barrel. A recess in which an upper portion is opened, and a cutoff portion are formed at a handle grip(22) of the dust collecting barrel in order to form a locking maintain portion. The cutoff portion is cutoff along a longitudinal direction at a rear side of the recess. A locking protrusion for suspending the extension pipe(30) at the vacuum cleaner body(10) is formed at the extension pipe. The locking protrusion includes an insert portion to be inserted at the recess and a connecting portion.
