PURPOSE: A synchronizing apparatus and method of using an FIFO memory is provided to increase a communication volume by transforming asynchronous data received from a plurality of serial lines to parallel data after a synchronization. CONSTITUTION: A synchronizing apparatus comprises a serial matching part(110) matching with a plurality of serial lines respectively transmitting serial data, a plurality of serial/parallel transforming parts(120,125) transforming serial data supplied from the serial matching part(110) to parallel data and storing the transformed parallel data to a defined memory among a plurality of memories respectively corresponding to the serial lines, a plurality of counters(140,145) counting a starting and an ending points of the serial data, a plurality of ending point detectors(150,155) detecting the ending point of the serial data, a synchronizing counter(160) deciding a synchronizing point responding to the detecting results of the ending point detectors(150,155), a parallel matching part(180) supplying parallel data.
