APPARATUS FOR REMOVING POLARIZER OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing a polarizer of a liquid crystal display is provided to remove the polarizer from the liquid crystal display without breaking a glass substrate or generating smear on the glass substrate. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing a polarizer of a liquid crystal display includes a vacuum stage(20), a polarizer removing roll(30), motors(33), a clamp cylinder(35), an up-down cylinder(23), and a panel support pin(25). The vacuum stage has a plurality of vacuum holes that form the vacuum ambient when a panel adheres to the stage and inject air when the panel is separated from the stage. The polarizer removing roll is placed above the vacuum stage and grips the polarizer to remove the polarizer from the panel. The motors are connected with the polarizer removing roll to drive the polarizer removing roll to rotate and move forward and backward. The clamp cylinder applies gripping force to one end of the polarizer. The up-down cylinder is placed under the vacuum stage and moves the stage up and down. The panel support pin separates the panel from the vacuum stage when the up-down cylinder ascends.
