PURPOSE: A system is provided to prevent deterioration of engine performance caused due to the valve overlap, by accurately measuring the back flow rate and back flow during back flow of the exhaust gas generated in the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises a driving unit(20) for operating a piston(14) reciprocating in a combustion chamber(13) arranged underneath a cylinder head(10) of an engine; a laser beam generating unit(30); a detection unit(40) for radiating the laser beam generated from the laser beam generating unit, to the combustion chamber of the engine, and measuring the back flow and flow rate of the exhaust gas; and an analysis unit(50) for receiving, processing and analyzing the signal output from the driving unit. The driving unit includes a motor(21); a connection shaft(22) for receiving a rotating power from the motor and operating the piston; and an angular sensor(23) arranged to the connection shaft so as to generate an electrical signal for the rotation.
