PURPOSE: A brake system for a hybrid car is provided to improve an operation performance of a brake by forming negative pressure to be supplied to a brake booster even though an engine is stopped. CONSTITUTION: A brake system for a hybrid car includes a pedal sensor(9), a first vacuum tank(11), a second vacuum tank(13), a negative pressure generating part, and a control part. The pedal sensor senses an operation condition of a brake pedal(7). The first vacuum tank stores suction negative pressure generated from an engine(1). The second vacuum tank receives the negative pressure from the first vacuum tank. The negative pressure generating part forms negative pressure into the second vacuum tank. The control part receives signal of the pedal sensor, receives information from a battery managing system(3), and operates the negative pressure generating part when the brake pedal is operated in a condition that the engine is stopped.
