摘要 fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: pulsed unit has reservoir for liquid, compressed air source, cylindrical casing divided by partition wall into pneumatic chamber and hydraulic chamber, slide valve with plunger, sprinkler and channel system for supplying and discharge of compressed air and liquid. Two pistons mounted in casing have rods and pushers attached to rod ends and adapted for cooperation with plunger. Both pistons are interconnected through intermediate rod. One piston is spring-loaded by compression spring. Upon supplying of compressed air into pneumatic chamber, pistons move to compress compression spring and liquid is supplied from reservoir into hydraulic chamber. At the end of stroke, pusher moves plunger to opposite position, and compressed air is directed from pneumatic chamber into sprinkler. Simultaneously, compression spring is released and liquid is forced out by piston from hydraulic chamber into sprinkler. Liquid discharged from sprinkler outlet is split by air flow to fine- dispersed state to form liquid spray. At the end of return stroke, pusher moves plunger to initial position. Process is repeated in automatic mode. Pulsed unit may be used in apparatuses for fighting against forest fires.
