MULTI-TUNER TELEVISION AND TELEVISION TUNER SELECTION METHOD

PURPOSE: A multi-tuner television is provided to directly select a tuner corresponding to a resident area by a user, or to select a tuner corresponding to a television standard system according to an externally-received signal, thereby directly using the TV without changing a tuner when changing a region. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(11) receives an external video signal. A tuner block(12) is composed of many tuners in accordance with a television standard system. A mode decider(13) decides a tuner mode of the external video signal. A controller(14) processes a signal inputted from a TV, and controls devices of the TV. A multiplexer(15) connects a corresponding tuner of the tuner block to the controller. A display(16) displays a video signal of the controller to a user. The controller generates a tuner selection control signal according to a decision of the tuner mode, and outputs the control signal, then processes the video signal tuned through the tuner block to convert the signal into the video signal. The controller controls a video and a voice displayed on the display.
