PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an ultrasonograph: that an auxiliary image displayed in an overlapping fashion makes a diagnostic image and other auxiliary images difficult to view. SOLUTION: An image synthesizing portion 5 is provided with a function 11 for creating a synthetic image by adding the pixel value of the diagnostic image and the pixel value of the auxiliary image together in a preset ratio to reduce the brightness of the auxiliary image in a certain ratio. Alternatively, an auxiliary image generating portion 9 is provided with a function for displaying the auxiliary image using blinking display method, dot display method, or outer-frame display method, so that the diagnostic image can be viewed through the auxiliary image. |
