PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular vessel for detecting vibrions, a preculture vessel for vibrions and detection of vibrions using the same. SOLUTION: The tubular vessel for detection 10 can be filled with a detection culture medium 32, has an opening that can be closed with a closing means 10a, is equipped with a sealing projection 5 that can form a window that can break the top edge and permit microorganisms to enter into the preculture vessel 20 on the side face 1 and the change in color tone of the culture medium for detection is observable from the outside. The preculture vessel 20 is equipped with a specimen-inserting chamber 20a into which the specimen 31 and the preculture medium 32 are inserted and with a detection tubular vessel-inserting chamber 20b. In this detection process, the microorganism as a subject to inspection in the specimen comes through the preculture medium and the above entering window and arrives at a detection culture medium where the microorganism is proliferated and the resultant change in the color tone of the detection culture medium is observed.
