PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush showing a good dental plaque removing effect to predilection areas of dental caries, especially the gum line of molars, which one often fails to brush, and easy to use. SOLUTION: In a toothbrush having a head 1, a neck 2, and a handle, the ratios D1/L and D2/L between the diameters D1 and D2 of circular arcs 61 and 62 drawn by connecting the centers of at least three bristle holes 4 located in the outermost side in the width direction of the head and the distance L to the rear end of bristle holes 4 located at the front end and the neck side rearmost end in the longitudinal direction of the head are 0.05 to 5.0. Four to six rows of bristle holes are provided in the width direction of the head, and an interval G of bristles located in the outermost row of the head in the longitudinal direction of the head is two or 26 times the distance g of bristle holes 4 of the inside two to four rows in the longitudinal direction of the head.
