PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella easy to wind up umbrella gores solving problems wherein after use of the umbrella a not-well-folded state of umbrella ribs and the umbrella gores allows water droplets to splash over from the umbrella gores and the umbrella ribs to be caught by the other thing or the like, not only giving neighborhood trouble but decreasing durability thereof, and when winding up the we umbrella ribs and the wet umbrella gores onto a main shaft side, both hands are required and made to be wet, generating inconvenience. SOLUTION: Each of elastic, thin rods is provided on the umbrella gore between adjacent umbrella ribs. One end of the thin rod is fixed on an outer end part of the umbrella cloth and the other end thereof is set to a rotating member fixed in a thrust direction of the main shaft and being rotatable to the main shaft. Rotating the rotating member rotates the thin rods, thereby winding up the umbrella ribs and the umbrella gores around the main shaft side.
