PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a substance relating to a sex pheromone agent to be used in place of conventional agrochemicals for the control of codling moth by one- pot synthesis. SOLUTION: A homologue of codling moth sex pheromone is synthesized by using (E)- and (Z)-Pr-DMAPP(3-methylhex-2-enyl diphosphate) as an allyl substrate, mixing with an IPP homologue and an FPP synthetase and incubating the mixture.
