PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the cushioning property of an air massager after air massages, when the massager is used as a chair through effective use of air that was used for the air massages. SOLUTION: The air massager has a backrest portion 1 provided with a plurality of bags 2a and so forth each of which is inflated and deflated by the supply and discharge of air. Selector valves 4a and so forth are arranged in air supply paths extending from an air pump 3 to the bags 2a and so forth. An exhaust control means 5 is provided which opens all the selector valves 4a and so forth for a predetermined time after the end of air massages to exhaust air from the bags 2a and so forth and then closes all the selector valves 4a and so forth to stop exhaust.
