PURPOSE: Provided is a manufacturing method of clay bricks with various colors and patterns by coating wet brick compacts with glaze powder without drying unlike conventional method. Accordingly, the method gives mat surface, characteristics of clay brick, and increases the yield of products. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: preparing glaze powder by grinding each component to less than 20mesh and mixing each ground powder to be a composition of wanted color; scratching the upper side of wet compacts by 0.5-1mm thickness; scattering glaze powder giving one color on the scratched side, and then small amount of glaze powder giving the other color in a moment by vertical oscillator; spreading fine frit thinly over it by vertical oscillator; drying and sintering in a reductive atmosphere. In case of grayish blue-colored glaze powder, it comprises 30-60pts.wt. of Fe2O3, 20-50pts.wt. of clay produced from Hampyeong, 10-30pts.wt. of borax, and 1-10pts.wt. of Al2O3. In case of yellow colored glaze powder, it comprises 20-50pts.wt. of china clay, 20-60pts.wt. of clay produced from Jeongeup, 20-30pts.wt. of clay produced from Anyang and 2-10pts.wt. of borax.
