PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary article excellent in the property of preventing the leakage of humor, such as menstrual blood, and in air permeability. SOLUTION: The sanitary article has an absorbing member sandwiched between and surrounded by a liquid-permeable top sheet and an air-permeable back sheet. The back sheet is formed of a film made of a polyolefinic resin formed when a polyolefinic resin composition formed by adding a silicon dioxide type clay mineral of 0.5 to 15 pts.wt. to a composition of 100 pts.wt. which comprises a polyolefinic resin of 40 to 75 wt.% and calcium carbonate of 25 to 60 wt.% is melted and formed into a film, which is then extended along one or two axes. The polyolefinic resin film of the back sheet is laminated with a nonwoven fabric made of a polyolefinic resin. The sanitary article is provided with at least one pair of flap portions in the direction perpendicular to its longitudinal direction.
