PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated apparatus for recovering a nucleic acid with a high degree of purification from a specimen including the nucleic acid. SOLUTION: A dispensing chip 15 connected to a nozzle is used to feed the specimen and a bonding promoter into a treating vessel 24 and a mixed solution in the treating vessel 24 is sucked into a nucleic acid-trapping chip 31 whereby the nucleic acid is trapped to a solid phase embedded in the chip. The eluate is absorbed into the nucleic acid-trapping chip after the solid phase is cleaned and a solution including nucleic acid eluate is collected into a vessel for the purified product 26.
