<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental retainer for use in an oral cavity without covering an upper jaw or a lower jaw. SOLUTION: The dental retainer comprises a labial arch wire 104 making contact with the outer surfaces of teeth, and a palatal marginal resin floor 101 having a configuration that is mostly hollowed out while leaving behind only 4 to 5 mm of its portion from an outer margin having embedded therein a reinforcing wire having indentations that match the inner surfaces of the teeth, and also having a bridge between both side clasps. The reinforcing wire 102 extending from a labial C-clasp 100, a bridging wire 103 crossing the palatal rear edge, and the labial arch wire 104 extending near the tooth row dental neck are soldered together and embedded into the resin floor 101. The resin margin on the denture side has its resin thickness minimized by keeping its front tooth part within the dental neck and its molar part within a crown contour part.</p> |
