<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertically movable bed which imparts a better operation comfort. SOLUTION: This vertically movable bed having a belt driving device comprises a vertically adjustable bed frame 2 and a pulling device to move the bed frame in the vertical direction. Two carriages 6 are fixed to the bed frame in such a manner that an interval in the horizontal direction may be placed between the carriages 6. Respective carriages are supported by rollers 7 and 8 in a manner to be movably supported on each vertical guide rail 5. The two carriages are respectively connected with balance weights 12 through pulling chains 9. Pulling chains are guided at the upper ends of guide rails through driving wheels 11, respectively. The driving wheels are firmly combined through a coupler rod 16. Then, the coupler rod is connected with a main reel 17 which is arranged by placing an interval in the vertical direction to a confronted reel 18 which is combined with a reduction gear device. The main reel and the confronted reel are connected with each other by a driving belt 19. Then, the driving belt selectively rotate-drives the coupler rod in one direction or the other direction by a motor.</p> |
