PURPOSE: A select lever in shift lever assembly is provided to reduce a producing cost by inject molding the select lever with synthetic resin and to improve shift feeling by simplifying assembly process. CONSTITUTION: A select lever for shift lever assembly comprises a shift cable engaged with an end portion of a handle; a shaft lever connected to the shift cable by being arranged on a case; a select lever(20) engaged with a select cable by being mounted on the case; a body unit(52) forming an outer portion of the select lever; a first hinge unit(54) rotationally connected to the shift lever by being installed on a side portion of the body unit; a connecting protrusion unit(56) engaged with the select cable by being formed on the other side portion of the body unit; a second hinge unit(58) rotationally combined to a side portion of the case by being installed between the first hinge unit and the connecting protrusion unit; reinforcing member(60) improving strength of the body unit by being connected to the first hinge unit and the connecting protrusion unit; and plural grooves(52A,60A) formed on the body unit and the reinforcing member.
