PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair allowing a user to excrete while sitting and assume a more stable attitude while maintaining a comfortable sitting position. SOLUTION: A piece of fabric 22 is stretched over the upper portions 19 of a pair of side frames 11 and over a coupling frame 13 to constitute a backrest portion. The user's back is supported against the backrest portion. A piece of fabric 27 is provided, over a curved frame 26 and leg supports are provided. The user's thighs are placed on the leg supports to support the thighs. Further, a space S is formed between each leg support and the backrest portion and the user's buttock is held positioned within the space S.
