PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and accurately insert seedlings into nursery beds for raising of seedling. SOLUTION: This seedling-inserting machine 1 is equipped with a seedling- feeding device 2 for feeding seedlings to a prescribed seedling-feeding position, a seedling box-carrying device 3 for carrying a seedling box 7 in which a plurality of nursery beds are formed to the corresponding position and a seedling- inserting device 4 for inserting seedlings fed by the seedling-feeding device 2 into the nursery bed of the seedling box 7 by a seedling hand 41 capable of holding stem part of seedling. In the seedling-inserting machine 1, further, a seedling-supporting tool 57 for supporting the upper part of seedling inserted last time from the upper side in seedling box-carrying direction by the seedling box-carrying device 3 while the seedling hand 41 finishes insertion of seedling and releases seedling and next seedling held by the seedling hand 41 reaches the upper part of the nursery bed inserted in next time is provided.
