PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female material for a surface fastener which achieves excellent configuration stability with a higher joining force despite its inexpensiveness. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric for a female material of the surface fastener has a number of loops on the surface of a nonwoven web comprising numerous fibers gathered and the numerous loops are formed out of one ore more types of fibers different in single fiber fineness.
