PURPOSE: A bit error transmission apparatus is provided to report the number of bit errors at real time from the slave to the master through an E1 link, thereby capable of counting the number of bit errors measured from the slave at the master. CONSTITUTION: A bit error rate measuring unit(111) discriminates that how many bits fall into error when transmitting. The first framing unit(112) receives a pattern signal and a latch signal from the measuring unit(111), allocates the signals to a time slot and then transmits. A reset control unit(113) resets a counter unit and the first latch unit. A high-frequency unit(110f) transmits/receives a constant signal with an electric wave. A modem unit(110e) modulates/demodulates the signal received from the high-frequency unit(100f) by CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) method. The second framing unit(110a) receives a modem signal from the modem unit, allocates the signal to a time slot and then transmits. An adder(110b) adds the number of bit errors extracted from the second framing unit(110a) to the accumulated bit errors of the second latch unit. The second latch unit(110c) stores the result of the adder(110b) and interfaces with a microprocessor unit. The microprocessor unit(110d) controls operations of the terminal, resets the second latch unit when initializing the bit error rate measuring and calculates the bit error rate stored to the second latch unit periodically.
