PURPOSE: A device for decoding voice channel data at a high speed is provided to simultaneously decode voice channel data according to four kinds of transmission rates, and to decode the voice channel data according to a detected transmission rate, thereby decoding many voice channel data at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: A decoder(1) simultaneously decodes voice channel data according to four kinds of transmission rates. An input buffer RAM(2) stores the voice channel data. A CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Checking) unit(3) checks errors of each of the voice channel data decoded at the four kinds of the transmission rates. An output buffer RAM(4) stores the errors-checked voice channel data. An SER(Symbol Error Rate) calculator(5) compares the voice channel data stored in the input buffer RAM with the voice channel data stored in the output buffer RAM by bit, and calculates SERs, then informs a controller(6) of a transmission rate of voice channel data whose SER is 0. The controller outputs a control signal to the decoder to decode the voice channel data according to the informed transmission rate. |
