PURPOSE: If an ignition switch is contacted in an ignition state by a mistake of a driver, a power supply of battery to an ignition motor is cut to prevent damage to ignition components. CONSTITUTION: An ignition device comprises a battery(10), an ignition switch(12) connected to the battery, and an ignition motor(14) operating by the battery power. An ignition limiting member cuts power from battery to the ignition motor if the engine has over a lowest idle rpm. The ignition limiting member comprises an inhibiter relay(16) between the ignition switch and the ignition motor, a power transistor(18) to supply power to the inhibiter relay, and a microprocessor(20) to output an input signal to the power transistor by engine rpm.
