PURPOSE: A steering system having a temperature compensation unit is provided to stabilize the output current by offsetting the output difference of a detecting coil and a temperature compensation coil with the output difference of a thermistor. CONSTITUTION: A steering system of a vehicle comprises a signal generating unit(81) to supply signals to a detecting coil(61) and a temperature compensation coil(71), a phase inversion unit(82) to supply an inverted signal to the detecting coil, a first thermistor(62) to transmit an inverted reference signal to a differential amplifying unit(83), a second thermistor(72) to transmit a reference signal to the differential amplifying unit, a sample and hold unit(84) to remove the noise from the out of the differential amplifying unit, and a voltage-current converting unit(85) to output currents to a control unit(90). If temperature rises, output current is reduced by the increase of the resistances of the detecting coil and the temperature compensation coil. Then, the first and second thermistors have a negative characteristic to temperature. The output decrement of the detecting coil and the temperature compensation coil and the output increment of the first and second thermistors are offset mutually. Therefore, output current is stabilized.
