PURPOSE: A device for automatically correcting centering of a coil type material is provided to guide accurate centering of the coil type material by correcting the coil type material having defective centering due to action errors of each facilities on the upper part of a coil car before fixing the coil type material to a pay off reel. CONSTITUTION: The device for automatically correcting centering of a coil type material comprises a moving part(28) moving the coil type material and consisting a moving skid screw(15) equipped of a screw rotation motor(14) at one end of a coil car(2), an operation unit(21) and a power transmission unit(22) which are installed at the lower part of the screw rotation motor(14), a moving skid(10) installed at the central part of the coil car(2), a screw moving induction stand(13) which is formed at the lower part of the moving skid(10), and into which a screw penetrates, induction paths(17) which are formed at the lower part of the moving skid(10), and on which the moving skid(10) moves, and moving skid sensing sensors(16) which are installed at left and right ends of the induction paths(17); a width sensing part(29) sensing width of the coil type material and consisting an arm moving screw(25) equipped with an arm moving screw rotation motor(20) at one end of the side surface of the coil car(2), the operation unit(21) and the power transmission unit(22) that are installed at the lower part of the arm moving screw rotation motor(20), an arm(24) to which width sensing sensors(26,26a,27,27a) are attached and an arm groove position sensor(19) which are installed at left and right sides of the arm moving screw(25), and an arm moving screw support(23) to which the arm groove position sensor(19) is attached, and which supports the arm moving screw(25); and a control part(30) which is consisted of a control panel to control movements of the coil type material moving part(28) by operating information of the width sensing part(29).
