摘要 The invention relates to a method for identifying moving areas of an image that contains pixels, said image having been produced by an interlacing method. A first half-image corresponds to the even lines of an image and the second half-image corresponds to the uneven lines of the image. According to the inventive method, which can be used for a multitude of different video materials, a motion can be easily identified in an image, when at least three subsequent pixels of the same column, one of the pixels being derived from the half-image and the other two being derived from the other half-image, are evaluated with respect to a pixel parameter. Depending on the result of said evaluation, a motion in a section of the image that comprises at least one of the three pixels can be indentified.
