PURPOSE: A mathematical formula is accomplished for calculating volume of various combustion shape easily and in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A designing system of a diesel engine comprises an interface(110) for converting inputted combustion chamber design parameter into a necessary value. A composite calculating portion(120) calculates the inputted necessary value. A volume calculating portion(130) calculates the volume of the combustion chamber on the basis of the calculated value of the composite calculating portion. A drawing output portion(140) configures and outputs a combustion chamber drawing by the value of the volume calculating portion and the composite calculating portion.
