When closed, the lock protects threaded ends and spindles which would otherwise be vulnerable to being removed with a saw, lever, drill or other tool. The clamp profile (15) includes a barrier (7) for preventing it from being forced with a tool such as a lever or screwdriver, and its side surfaces are completely closed. The lock is made from surface-tempered metal. The lock comprises a closure profile (1) for receiving a solid round cylinder (4) with flattened surfaces, which can be slid into a lock chamber (8) in a clamp profile. The closure and clamp profiles are shaped so that they can be slid over each other.
