PURPOSE: An auction system is provided to contribute to elevating the motivation to participate of a bidder. CONSTITUTION: A host server(13) presents bidding content about merchandise in a home page to promote an input of a bid price for the merchandise from a user terminal(15) of a bidder and receives a bid price for the merchandise from the user terminal of the bidder. The host server(13) urges an operation about random number generating processing from the user terminal of the bidder, and generates a random number according to operation information received from the user terminal of the bidder to calculate an additional amount according to the random number. The host server(13) adds the calculated additional amount to the bid price entered at an auction, registers the total amount after the addition as a final bid price, and executes awarding processing on such bidders in descending order of such bid prices.
