PURPOSE: A liner mounting structure for measuring a friction force of a piston is provided to remove the factor of errors by offsetting the combustion pressure applied to a liner, thereby reducing the errors in measuring the friction force. CONSTITUTION: The liner mounting structure for measuring a friction force of a piston and liner(220) is installed to the liner in a cylinder block(210) of an internal combustion engine. The liner(220) is formed in a cylindrical shape at an inner surface to allow a reciprocation motion of the piston. The liner(220) has a protrusion(225) around the peripheral surface at the upper portion. The liner(220) has a combustion pressure path(270) connected to the lower surface of the protrusion(225). The cylinder block(210) has a depression(250) depressed inwardly along with the peripheral surface of the liner with respect to the protrusions(225). A plurality of O-ring grooves comprising an upper O-ring groove, a lower O-ring groove, and a middle O-ring groove are formed at the depression. An upper O-ring(256), a lower O-ring(266), and a middle O-ring(261) are installed at the plurality of the O-ring grooves.
