PURPOSE: A device for sensing the operation of a motor while supplying water and a method thereof are provided to rotate a washing tub in different motor driving patterns according to a load sensed while supplying water, thereby helping clothing to sufficiently absorb the water and preventing the scattering of the water. CONSTITUTION: A device for sensing the operation of a motor while supplying water includes a motor connected to power supply at a side and generating electromagnetic induction at the other side for providing system driving force, a motor voltage sensing circuit continuously sensing a motor voltage, which changes according to the operation of the motor while the power is supplied, to generate a motor voltage sense signal, and a microcomputer for determining an amount of a load according to the motor voltage sense signal and generating a motor-driving control signal to determine on/off operation of the motor to be transmitted to the motor. |
