METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING SERIES OF DATA

PURPOSE: A method for transferring a series of data is provided to decrease expenses, and to reduce load of a bus system according to the number of data transmitted per time unit by transmitting some part of a string sample. CONSTITUTION: A data processing device such as an MPEG(Motion Picture Expert Group) decoder includes a bus system(BUS) through which a transmitting circuit such as a variable length decoder circuit(VLD) transfers a sample string to a receiving circuit such as an IS circuit. The transmission circuit transmits only the start part of the sample string up to a point continuing to be equal to the reference value, and also transmits a designator being the end of transmission after the transmitted final sample. The receiving circuit inserts the reference value after a sample preceding the designator in order to reconstruct the sample string.
