PURPOSE: A device for reducing the intrusion of a door to a passenger room in a side-on collision is provided to minimize the injury on a passenger in a side-on collision by dispersing the side impact applied to a door to the lower end of a vehicle body and restraining the intrusion of the door to a passenger room. CONSTITUTION: A first pipe(70) is combined to brackets(30,50) in a door. A gas propulsion device(40) connected with a side-on collision sensor is installed on the inside upper end of the first pipe. A second pipe(60) having a diameter shorter than that of the first pipe is installed at the lower end of the first pipe. A hole is formed in a side sill placed at the lower end of a door. The hole is covered with a cap opened by the explosive force of gas. The side impact applied to the door is dispersed to the lower end of a vehicle body. Therefore, the intrusion of the door to a passenger room is restrained.
