PURPOSE: An apparatus for selecting an audio channel is provided so that an audio system can automatically execute a user's manual channel transfer operation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for selecting an audio channel is comprised of a tuner, a neural network, a channel transfer part, an amplification part, and an output part. The tuner receives a broadcast. The neural network detects the lp coefficient of the broadcast signal received from the tuner and judges whether it is a music broadcast or a person's speech. The channel transfer part controls the tuner for transfer to another channel if the broadcast genre judged by the neural network is not a music broadcast. The amplification part amplifies the broadcast signal output from the tuner. The output part outputs the amplified signal.
